Statewide Drought Declared

The Department of Ecology has declared a statewide drought due to low snowpack and dry forecast.  As of today (April 17), the Naches Basin Snowpack is 71% of median. (nrcs.usda.gov). Current proration for Bureau of Reclamation waters is 63%.  

Although the proration affects only 8% of our water since the District is a senior water right district, we ask you to conserve where possible and repair any leaks in your system. Adequate flows are also necessary for fish spawning and power generation. Irrigation districts further down the valley are asking the same from their users.
